Nautical charts and nautical publications

Regulation

Nautical charts and nautical publications, such as sailing directions, lists of lights, notices to mariners, tide tables and all other nautical publications necessary for the intended voyage, shall be adequate and up to date.

Summary

All ships are required to carry appropriate nautical charts and publications.

 

Guidance Notes

Regulation 27 replaces Regulation 20 of SOLAS V/74.  In the new Regulations “Nautical Charts and Publications” are defined in Regulation 2.2.
